New Inspection Rules

December 20th, 2010 · No Comments · Uncategorized

As of August 1, 2010 New Jersey has implemented changes with regards to inspecting your motor vehicle. When you pull up for inspection, your vehicle will only receive an emissions test. Mechanical defects or issues will be the sole responsibility of the owner/driver.

So what does this mean for every day driving? This means that it is your responsibility to make sure your car is road safe. A big part of self-inspecting your car is to make sure all of your lights and warning signals are working properly. Most of us get in our car and go. This can be a very costly mistake. Law enforcement can give you a ticket for a tail light or headlight out that you may not have even noticed. Even worse, a light or warning signal not working properly could lead to an accident.  We want our Lester Glenn families to be as safe as possible while in their Buick, GMC, Hyundai, Mazda, Subaru, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram or pre-owned vehicles.  Check before you drive and arrive safe!

Take a look at James Prestia, a certified Subaru technician, explaining how to properly check your lights and warning signals.
