Allen’s Clam Bar will be at both showrooms serving some great food. Manahawkin will have music supplied by 105.7 The Hawk from 9:30-11:30am and SOJO 104.9 from 1-3pm. In Toms River, WJRZ will be here 9:30-11:30am and The Hawk will be here from 12-2pm.

We are officially out of the trailers and into our newly remodeled home at Lester Glenn Chevrolet! The building has been completely gutted and rebuilt to the Lester Glenn Auto Group’s high standards. From a new showroom to our indoor delivery center, you can experience the way car buying should and will be!

We will be having Lester Glenn Chevy’s Grand Re-Opening Saturday, February 15th and Monday, February 18th to celebrate the new store. And we are doing it right! Radio stations will be playing some great music with live broadcasts right from our showroom. There will be plenty of giveaways and food for everyone. And don’t worry about whether or not to bring the kids. We have a new play area for them, as well as face painting and a magician.

We will be open late on Saturday as well! Visit us on Saturday or Monday. We will be open from 9am to 9pm giving away some great deals!

We held a company-wide Jeans Day. All employees had the opportunity to donate money to wear jeans for the day.

We also asked our friends and family to donate to those walking.

Our biggest donation came from our Facebook fans! For the month of October, Lester Glenn Auto Group donated $5 for every new Facebook fan. Our fans increased by 805 fans, which meant a grand total of $4,025! It’s almost that time. The time we are putting up the 2011 Autism Speaks Santa Fe for auction. The Santa Fe has been sitting on our Lester Glenn Hyundai of Toms River showroom floor for the past year. Every customer that has purchased a car at Toms River Hyundai has had the opportunity to sign it.

On Saturday, October 6th, from 10:30am to 2:30pm, there will be numerous prizes auctioned off by a live auctioneer. The main item will be the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Why are we auctioning off a car? Lester Glenn Auto Group takes pride in offering great deals to our customers. We also know that if it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t be afforded the opportunity to earn your business. Therefore we try to make our community a better place.

All proceeds raised for the day will be donated to Autism Speaks. One in every 110 children is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes, and pediatric AIDS combined. There is also no known cure. New Jersey has one of the highest rates of Autism in the United States.

Meet Kylie, the daughter of Lester Glenn Chevrolet service manager, Joe Monica. She was born with Diamond Blackfan Anemia, an orphan disease of the bone marrow. Dozens of surgeries, years in hospitals, and even an experimental bone marrow transplant has not freed Kylie of the numerous burdens of this disease. Please help the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation win desperately needed funds through the Chase Community Giving program. On Saturday, October 6th from 10:30am to 2:30pm, Lester Glenn Hyundai will host an old fashioned live auction, complete with a live auctioneer, in our Toms River, New Jersey showroom. For the past year, Lester Glenn Auto Group has had a shrink-wrapped 2011 Santa Fe parked on our Toms River showroom floor; and every customer who has purchased a vehicle from Lester Glenn Hyundai has had the opportunity to sign the Santa Fe to show their support for Autism Speaks.

The Santa Fe, worth over $25,000, will be the star auction prize with a starting bid of only $10,000 and this auction is only open to the public. No car dealers or wholesalers will be allowed to bid. 100% of the sale price will then be donated to Autism Speaks by Lester Glenn Auto Group. Adam Kraushaar, president of Lester Glenn Auto Group, feels strongly about this disease and the need to help conquer it. Kraushaar said, “I’m the father of two young kids and I have seen how autism affects so many children in our community. One in every 110 children is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes, and pediatric AIDS combined. And there is no known cause or cure.” While other car dealers may be cutting back, Lester Glenn Auto Group is “stepping to the plate” to help in the fight against autism.

During the October 6th event, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on other auction items, donated by local television providers and radio stations. These radio stations will also be conducting live remote broadcasts to widely promote this event. To aid in the purchase of the vehicle, Lester Glenn will also offer financing to the winner of the 2011 Santa Fe.

The signed 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe will be on display at the 2012 New Jersey Shore Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Saturday, September 29. At that event, information will be posted about the following week’s auction and Check Presentation Ceremony at our Lester Glenn Hyundai of Toms River showroom.
